How to wear: head to toe monochrome

tracy reese skirt // james perse tee // DOMA jacket (purchased at THREAD) // black leather spiked booties // Jessica Kagan bangles

Happy Tuesday! Took yesterday off to work on the launch party and spend time with my fur babies.  So monochrome.  There are so many different ways to rock this look.  Black and white, shades of blue, all white everything, etc.  My personal fav is the classic black and white- two non colors that compliment each other and make a statement.

A limited color palette gives you free reign to mix textures and volume (yes please!).  I love the look of this jacquard wool skirt offset by the studs in the leather jacket. The plain white tee balances out the look and allows the necklaces to pop.

Here i went for a bit of the rocker chic look- but this skirt could be worn with a white button up, black cashmere cardigan and a pair of neutral flats to give it a casual preppy vibe.

When wearing monochrome:

1. Play with volume! Mix an oversized cable knit with a pair of sleek leather leggings

2. Layer up! Since the color palette is one in the same- you can mix every shade of that one color and give it tons of dimension

3. Make it pop.  Not into all monochrome? Throw on a pair of bright pumps or carry a bold clutch to give the outfit some color.

How cute is this punkey?

Cheers trend lovers,
xx
