A sense of calmness came over me as I walked into BOHINDI, a highly anticipated jewelry and wellness shop opening in the heart of Upper Arlington. I heard a voice coming from the other side of the wall, and knew it had to be none other than the talented and spirited Jamie Riley.

Jamie is the owner and creative mind behind White Truffle; a high-end personalized accessory line for men and woman. Starting White Truffle in 2006, her brand and style has continually evolved over the years- and BOHINDI is a new chapter in her already captivating novel.

“BOHINDI is a wellness inspired brand- what I want is to create beautiful jewelry with a purpose. Each stone or piece will represent something- whether it bring healing powers, energy- anything that taps into a deeper place.”

Alongside the hand-made jewelry; BOHINDI will be stocked with elixirs, teas, aromatherapy, candles, and various body care products.

“It is a fusion of bohemian and indie style products. I want to promote up and coming designers who hand make their products and share similar lifestyle views about balance and sustainability.”

She went on to tell me about her childhood and how it has inspired BOHINDI:

“I was always that little girl digging for rocks in the backyard, or shells at the beach. Anything and everything I could find I would string together to make jewelry out of- that wanderlust feeling you have when you’re a child is such a gift and I want to reintroduce that feeling to everyone who walks into the door”

There will even be a children’s corner with a tipi set up and different activities for the younger ones to participate in.

Bohindi will hold various workshops in the back - from jewelry making to yoga. Jamie wants it to be a place where everyone can tap into his or her creative side- regardless of age.

Jamie is one of those people who exudes the type of liveliness you find yourself completely drawn to. With an incredible demeanor and addicting energy, I hung on her every word.

“I have no idea what to expect but I was once told do what you love and the rest will follow- and so far I am feeling pretty blessed.”

Our short meeting turned into a two-hour conversation turned into a photo-shoot collaboration. This shop is something special, not only because of what is inside of it but the people behind it.

Bohindi’s grand opening party will be held at the shop (2134 Arlington Ave, Upper Alrington OH 43221) on October 19^th. It is an all day event celebrating the vision with various events, music, and bohindi product. www.BOHINDI.com
