I am back to blogging, yay!  I took a couple of weeks off to work on the launch party (pictures up wednesday), meet with web designers for the new site and basically recharge my battery from all the madness that has been going on.  I will officially be blogging every monday, wednesday and friday from here on out!

Since today was 18* I wanted to do a post on wearing your maxi dresses and skirts through the winter. I am a firm believer in a year round wardrobe- as long as you shop smart and are willing to step outside of the box a bit- it is simple to seamlessly wear most pieces 365.

I layered a longer cashmere turtle neck over a spaghetti strap maxi dress in this combo.  You could do a belted cardigan, tee with a leather jacket, etc- the combinations are endless.  I chose a rustic leather ankle bootie to both winterize the look and keep consistent with the boho feel of the dress.  Tall boots would have looked frumpy and disconnected from the outfit.

The hobo bag balances out the oversized sweater and once again, has that great natural boho feel.  I put on a long earring to draw the eye upwards and stacked on some earthy bracelets.  Voila- summer maxi turns winter cozy.  Not to mention this is legit the most comfortable outfit ever.

How to: Carpe the _ _ _ _ Out of This Diem

Happy monday! Time to carpe the fu*k of out this diem!  Don't be offended by this bag- be inspired.  When I found this little gem I started to think of all the looks and negative comments that could come my way- I get it, it's a tad aggressive.

But then I thought to myself 'why would someone be offended by a message that is empowering and inspiring?'   You should be SO excited to seize the day that the word just slips out! 

So instead of giving style advice today, I wanted to pass on a message that allows me to get up every morning and work.  A message that drives me to practice my passion and hopefully influence others.  A message that has helped me get up eight times from the seven times i've fallen. A message that is so bad a**, you cant help but carpe that diem and be proud of the work you do every day before your head hits the pillow.  

I apologize for my sailor mouth, it is what it is. (sorry mom)
